Benjamin Chapman is a 21 year old fine art and documentary photographer and is an engaged member of SPE, ASMP, and APPA, where he regularly contributes to the photographic community. As well as still photography, Ben has also filmed and produced two feature-length films as well as a number of shorts including "Girls' Night", winner of KHFF Best Regional Short Film 2017.
While pursuing his B.F.A. at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Ben has come to realize that the world is saturated with photographs, but it has lost the ability to feel them. We see millions of images in our lifetimes, but how many do we actually hold in our hand or stand in front of at a gallery? Ben embraces changes in photography, but he choses to adapt to them while maintaining an analog workflow. Working almost exclusively in large and medium format film, Ben's process remains slow and deliberate while delivering results beyond the capabilities of digital photography.
